When a test comes back positive, it leaves you to make one of four choices: single parenting, marriage, abortion, or adoption. Our client advocates are ready to help you sort through your emotions and make the best choice for you.

Single Parenting Being a single parent is not an easy task. It may mean you have to make a lot of sacrifices for your child. Like making decisions about school, work, and life in general. It will also most likely bring times of great joy but also times of great stress. We want to show you what is available in Cheyenne to help you be the best parent you can be, including job training and help with schooling (GED or other). We can also offer you baby clothes from newborn to 24 months, emergency diapers and formula, and all the supplies you may need for a baby. 	Marriage When a couple finds themselves with an unplanned pregnancy, marriage usually isn't something that is thought of an option. Many couples that get married young and because of a pregnancy have a happy life. Others may think it is not a good idea because of your age or situation, but remember, getting married means your child will have both its parents around 24/7. And studies have shown that married people are happier than those who just live together. At our center we can help both you and the father of your baby understand this option and the benefits it can bring to both your lives. Return to Options
Abortion No matter what decision you make with your pregnancy, it is going to change your life. One thing you need to know about abortion is it is a surgical procedure and therefore, it has risks. Ensure you ask your surgeon the following questions: Will it hurt? What physical/psychological side effects might I experience? Will you treat me for complications? If I need to be hospitalized, at which hospital do you have privileges? Will I receive a surgical report for my medical records? If I experience post-surgical problems in the future, will you treat me? We are here to share information about the risks and give you literature to read on your own should you feel this is the option for you. 	Adoption Sometimes, being a parent can feel like a responsibility you cannot handle but abortion isn't an option for you. If this is the case, you can fulfill your parental responsibilities by choosing a family of your choice and making an adoption plan. LifeChoice works closely with Wyoming Children's Society and Catholic Charities of Wyoming to help you gain information about adoption. We can arrange a question and answer meeting here at LifeChoice or accompany you to any meetings for infomarion to learn more about the process. Many people have a negative view of adoption because they see it as giving their child away. Actually, adoption is the most selfless thing you could do for your child. And you decide how much contact you and your child have as they grow up by choosing an open, semi-closed, or closed adoption.
